"Relationships are designed to be like wine. The longer it stays, the better should it taste." - Mr. Micheal Manubag

One of the usual struggles of millennials today is an issue of handling relationships. It was a contrast that the technology that supposed to connect us, ends up separating us as our young generation opted to convey their messages online, lacking of any personal character. That is why many are able to manage their careers, households, finances, but not most are able to manage their own heart.

The College of Arts and Sciences Alumni Council, in partnership with the Students of Destiny, initiated a Valentine event entitled Romance and Rhythm: an Acoustic night out, last February 22, 2017. Present in the event are 10 alumni, 35 upcoming alumni, 20 students and 10 guests from the different companies. It was held at the Teachers' Education Building Main Lobby of Rizal Technological University, Boni Campus. The goal of the event is to not just to hold a program but to enlighten the participants that relationships and friendships takes time and process.

The event was first graced by Dr. Jules Meneses, Vice President of the Grand Alumni Association, Inc. (GAAI), who shared about the vision of the association in reaching and connecting our alumni by creating relative programs and events suited to their needs. Then thereafter, the President of CAS Alumni Council introduced the speaker of the event. The speaker of the event - Mr. Michael Manubag, is also an alumnus of RTU, with the course Electrical Engineering from Batch 2013. Aside from the practice of his course, he has been doing professional life coaching, specifically on the field of family and career planning. His topic was entitled Visions of Love: Twelve pathways to Forever, where he shared about the importance of solid foundation in relationships and the value of seasons in a person's life. The program ended by the awarding of the stars of the night with the following awards, Ms. Romance awarded to Ms. Niña Marie Canonigo, Mr. Rhythm awarded to Froilan Karl Villarais, Ms. RNR Spotted awarded to Lailanie Espinoza, Mr. RNR Spotted awarded to Mr. Wayne Tadique, Mr. Ginalingan Award given to Aaron Berte, and Ms. Pinusuan Award given to Ciarra Anna Naval.
